Говорить правильно по-английски, конечно, очень важно. Но неплохо бы еще научиться разговаривать образно, ярко, эмоционально. Достичь этого нам помогают идиомы и фразеологизмы. Эмоциональная бедность наших высказываний – это то, что мешает нам вплотную приблизиться к тем, для кого английский язык является родным. Выучивая каждый день по одной рифмовке, вы очень быстро овладеете солидным набором наиболее распространенных идиом и фразеологизмов, а главное – всегда будете уместно их применять. Кроме того, разучивание стихотворений – прекрасное упражнение для развития памяти. Можно, конечно,  взять специальные словари и каждый день заучивать понравившиеся выражения и обороты, но, во- первых, они быстро забудутся, а, во- вторых, многие из них редко употребляются и могут вызвать удивление или непонимание.

Я отобрал наиболее распространенные идиомы, пропустил их через “фильтр” моих канадских, английских и американских коллег и придумал на их основе несложные рифмы, с которыми собираюсь вас знакомить из номера в номер. Эти выражения украсят вашу  речь и приблизят ее к натуральному современному английскому языку.  Можете не сомневаться в том, что вас прекрасно поймут в любой  англоязычной стране.
Рифма способна творить чудеса с памятью, а кроме того, микросюжет стихотворения дает поле применения того или иного выражения в конкретных речевых ситуациях. Могу с полной авторитетностью утверждать, что заучивание стихотворения, содержащего, например, 8 идиом, займет у вас в 10 раз меньше времени, чем выполнение целой серии  упражнений.
